How can I be sure my bank is offering as much of a refund as they should be?

    Hi again.

I scanned the letter and tried to insert the

Post the link with something like h t t p s : / / rather than https:// or hxxp and it would be ok

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

So no need for this to continue any further, the crux of the letter has finally been revealed!

The Bank have offered a refund of PPI for which they still have records. If neither you nor they can furnish documentary evidence that you paid more than you are being refunded then your complaint is at an end. Once again, "fairness" does not come into it I'm afraid.

Perhaps your Mother will come up trumps and find your own archive...

Oh well, nevermind. If no documents are found I will accept the payout as it is.

Thank you very much for helping out. I'm very grateful. :)
