Lease car delayed 6 months
I have just been told that my lease car won't be delivered till the 3rd of July. It was ordered in January with an expected delivery of 3 weeks. The finance is with Lex Autolease. BMW 2 series. I've been offered a 1 series for free to keep me going till delivery, but I'm starting to get a little annoyed as the delivery date keeps getting pushed back. I'm considering cancelling, but I believe there will be cancellation costs?
Anyone on these forums know of any way to get out of this lease based on the misleading delivery time? I will most likely lease something that is in stock instead.
Thank in advance.

Have you tried saying no to the delay? From the sound of things you are not cancelling anything, they are failing to deliver their side of the deal.
For that matter, what have you signed?
Though a 1-series for free until they get organised might not be such a bad idea financially.0 -
There was a sandstorm at the exit port in germany. It arrived in the UK and upon inspection (I assume) they found damage and it is now sitting at the dealer awaiting repairs. The vehicle is registered and I have the reg number. I've signed the lease contract. Nowhere in it does it say anything about an implied delivery time so I'm not sure where I stand.0

not sure why you have a problem, they are putting you into a free car in the meantime.0

A free car for 6 months is a no brainer! Save your payments and treat yourself to a holiday to relieve the stress it's caused:rotfl:
Can't believe you've actually posted the question, I would snap their hands off, although I can't understand why it's going to take 6 months for the repairs.0
