I had a default 6 years ago with vanquis and Lowell now have the debt. The thing is im now keeping an eye on my credit report and once the default hit the 6 year mark Lowell closed the account but they also opened a new account with the same default. Are they allowed to do that? I thought defaults would no longer effect my credit report after 6 years

Any default has to be the original date, not a later one.0
