Car Insurance - Driving license question

Hi all,

I have a question about my driving licence, I got it in 2003 back in Italy but now that I live in England I exchange it, so one month ago I received my full UK driving licence.
When the insurance ask me how long have I had it should I say 1 month or 15 years?
Because if I have a look in the driving licence at the point 4a (date of issue) says 2017, but in the back at the point 10(valid from) it's 2003.

In my opinion it should be 2003 because I have been driving for 15 years now, but I know that all the insurances try do find every way to cancel a policy when you have an accident and I don't want to get any problem.

What do you think?

Thank you very much

Depends on the exact wording of the question- answer exactly what is asked.

You need to ask the insurance company.

It depends on what the question asks. If it askls how long you have held a licence, then it would be 15 years. If it asks how long you have held a UK licence, it would be 1 month.

Either way, however, it is probably worth telephoning and double-checking with the insurance co., as the last thing you want is for them to later determine you were not honest. (and even if they classify it as 1 month, they may be able to take into account that you have previous experience overseas)

Thank you, Admiral is asking two questions. The first is"Does the driver hold a Full UK Manual driving licence? " and the second is " How long has the driver had it for? " so I think it means how long I had the UK one but I'm not sure.
I wrote an email to admiral but they didn't reply, so I think i will call them but usually I prefer having a written answer because if there will be any problems in future I will have a proof.

Thank you everybody for your help

I rang Admiral, they told me that if I didn't have to go through all the tests when I swapped my italian driving licence I can say that I have had it for 15 years.
I rang direct line and they gave me the same answer.
Thank you all for your help.
