Am I about to be thrown out on the street?

I have received a letter notifying me that a Possession order hearing has been scheduled in the County Court at the end of next month.
From what I can tell this has been petitioned by my Landlords mortgage company as they have fallen behind with payments.
This is the only information I have at present.
Can anybody fill me in with what this means for me as a tenant of 4 years who has never missed a rent payment.
Thanks in advance

Here seems a good place to start:

It's likely that you'll have to leave the property sooner or later, hopefully you can get some time to find a new place in the meanwhile.0 -
And another excellent link:

Sorry to hear this: That landlord ain't paying at a time of near lowest-ever interest rates says he's probably on the fiddle, very stupid or a plain crook.
The hearing is 1st step. Before any eviction the hearing would happen (in your shoes I'd write to the court.. ), then if court agrees a "Possession order" with an expiry date (usually 14 days later). That does not end your tenancy nor require you to leave: Only when it expires can they apply to court for bailiffs: Tenancy only ends when bailiff turns up.
See here for more advice...

& call Shelter 0808 800 4444 the experts in such matters, eviction etc...
If the worst happens the council may have a duty to rehouse you: You probably want to find somewhere else rather than a homeless B&B or hostel.0
