    Well maybe the customer thinks they are getting more than is often delivered. I know what I do to manage my portfolio and paying 0.5% would be way over charging IMHO. Also when you compare that to a sensible withdrawal rate in retirement that might be 3% then it seems even more expensive to me. But if people are ok with paying these annual fees over and above fund and platform fees then who am I to tell them other wise.......but I'll avoid those charges by spending a just few mins on my portfolio each month.
