is there a way to convert a ms word document into a ms works document??

Options
Hiya all

Basically I have spent ages slaving away on an essay which needs to be posted asap. I have done it in microsoft word, and there are diagrams and stuff in it which ive spent ages labelling.

ive now come to print it off and have run out of ink. so off i toddle with my usb drive to a friends, and they only have microsoft works on their pc - so the essay and diagrams are all over the place!

is there an easy way to convert it?

thanks
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

  • When you get the "Save As" Dialogue box in Word go to the drop down menu at the bottom that says "Save as type" and you should be able to select Works as a type
  • Yes, open your file,
    click Save as
In the save as box, scroll down to Works 6.0 & 7.0 (*.wps)
Click Save and save to your flash drive

Before you go, download OpenOffice and burn it to CD. Let them have a copy and then you can both use it if you need to share files.
