British Gas refusing to send paper letters.

My parent's who do not use a computer but do have an email address have been unable to get British Gas to send them their Home care agreement by post - three times they have phoned and three times it's been sent again by Email and not by Post. Should they quit?
They never actually gave British Gas their email by the way - I think it was given when ordering a Free Carbon Monoxide alarm.

I would offer to log into their webmail account and print it out for them - or, as a friend does, suggest that they use the computers in their local library.

They dont want that. They want everything sent by post as they always have done - they quite old fashioned in that regard and will never change.

Then they'll have to find a provider that does send letters or pay extra for them them if that's an option.

To send by email costs nothing, at their end. To send by post does. Don't forget, advisers are scripted and if the computer does not allow a postal option, this will not be allowed.

We are ruled by the computer and it is saying no.
