The student maintenance loan for those who's parents earn a combined salary in excess of £70k:
For students starting in September 2018
The government website says a loan of £4,054 will be awarded
The MSE website says 65% of the full amount will be awarded
I have just applied and the official form that I have just filled in says that no maintenance loan will be awarded to those whose parents earn a combined income of over £70k
Does anyone know what the correct maintenance loan is for September 2018?

Hopefully problem resolved-got through to the student finance helpline so for students living in England they confirmed maintenance loan of £4,054 would apply as this is none means tested-the forms students fill in on line do not make this clear0

Unsure where you've gone wrong. We applied for student finance for our son. He is first generation to go and none of us had a clue what we were doing. We started the online process and part way through, were asked the question 'do you wish to apply for more than the minimum maintenance loan?' We pressed No and that was about the end of the process. It was very easy. I already knew son wasn't entitled to more than the minimum from info that's on-line.
We live in England. Son will be studying in England living away from home.0
