I am with Barclays. I ordered something from amazon and then quickly cancelled it a few minutes later, well before it had started shipping. The cancellation went through fine according to Amazon, but a pending payment is still showing on my Barclays account for the transaction....since 14th April!

I gather it should come off after 7 days at the most, it has now been 2 full working weeks. Aside from the fact that Amazon claim not to charge you for anything until it has shipped, why the hell is it still sitting on there? The cancelled order on my Amazon account shows a value of £0.00 (which is very odd since the item was clearly not free and now can't be linked back to this pending transaction since the amount is not visible on Amazon!).

Just rang Barclays, apparently it should come off today! So seems to take 10 working days before it goes back on to your balance!
