Consequences of DVLA suspension of UKPC

I have contacted DVLA and ended up with an 'On-line Chat' with an agent of DVLA. I was advised to write in. I have been given an address. The agent stated the information I sought was "not public knowledge" DVLA would require a signed letter to the correct department stating the reason for the request. Allow 2-4 weeks for a response.

For the moment, I have one further question: Once a ban has been lifted, can UKPC seek keeper details re an alleged infringement that occurred within the ban period? Thank you.

No they can't seek DVLA data re a parking event within the ban period.

All they can do (and are doing) is now get DVLA data late, for any Feb/March parking events that pre-dated the ban, and now they are allowed they can get the data for those old ones (albeit they can't hold the registered keepers liable but that's been covered in the relevant threads of posters affected).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Hi,
    Thanks for the above threads.
So my PCN is 16 Mar. Got a NTK 6 Jun (so clearly out of time), but presume they got the details from DVLA once the ban was lifted but retrospectively.
Am thinking of replying on the Appeals site using one of the Templates you can find online but adding that I would like to carry out a Subject Access Request of any and all data they hold on me as well as how/when they got it. Also to let them know that as a private citizen I would like all this information deleted and under no circumstances be forwarded onto any other parties.
    Any thoughts would be welcome.
    Many thanks for your enlightenment!

Theyre not allowed to do it retrosepctively
If your incident occured during the suspension period then a complaint - major one -is due to the DVLA.

"one of"? No, the single BLUE template here.
Obviously STOP POSTING HERE _ this is NOT the right place to discuss YOUR ticket.
You cant "like to" carry out, you DO or DO NOT (Yoda time!) - and dont do it within an appeal, do it as a seperate docuyment.

Your ticket was issued prior to their suspension so I doubt it is relevant your case. Was this a windscreen ticket?

By this (any thoughts) I meant a discussion around Data Protection and whether UKPC are breaking any DPA laws.
Advice on how to reply to NTK not clear in the Newbies section. (Maybe I am reading it wrong). Thanks

Zufre, if you want specific guidance on how to tackle your problem then please start your own thread.

Trying to progress two different issues for two different people on the one thread can only lead to confusion.

    No they are not.

This is already covered in this specific thread discussing the ban:

That tells you what to do and why you will win. March & Feb PCNs are simple to win.

Thought it was crystal clear - submit online, the 'one size fits all' appeal template will do the job. Ignore any email or letter in reply that begs to be told who was driving.

P.S. Do NOT (PLEASE DON'T) copy the template, plonk it here and ask 'is it this one...part of it doesn't relate to my case...shall I change it...'

  • I received a PCN at 11.52 25th May 2018 for an alleged parking infringement. Please see my original post of 11th June. I wrote to DVLA on 13th June seeking clarification as to when the 'ban' on UKPC was in force.
I have now received a reply from DVLA. Quote:

"I can confirm that UKPC were re-instated on the KADOE service on 25th May. Therefore, enquiries can be made for DVLA data from 26th May 18 onwards. UKPC cannot make enquiries for the period of suspension which was 22 March 18 - 25th May inclusive."

So, I am a happy bunny. I will however, taker greater care in future.
