Another stupid warranty question (sorry!)

Just a quick question re warranties. If I need to get a repair done tomorrow (which I think I do) and I use non-official parts, would that be likely to invalidate my warranty as a whole or only in relation to the items replaced?

I quite badly need my car to be fixed tomorrow but I suspect that getting official parts will not be a same day job?

Thanks

Sort of the latter, why can you not use OEM supplied parts ?

Giulietta, 66 plate, 12000 miles, potential front spring(s).

I'm let to believe that I need to use official alfa parts during the life of the warranty?

The only reason would be if I could get non-OEM springs fitted tomorrow whereas OEM may require a wait for delivery. Have an exam on Tuesday that I kinda need to get to and the public transport options are not great (although possible with a bit of hassle).

Closest dealer is over 100 miles away.

A car of that type and age, I'm semi surprised 'pattern' parts are available off the shelf. MFRS are quite good with some warranty issues even when passed the date.

I'd be asking why am I needing a new spring on a less than 2 year old/12000 mile car! Surely its a warranty claim for a new spring?

People are caught up in an egotistic artificial rat race to display a false image to society. We want the biggest house, fanciest car, and we don't mind paying the sky high mortgage to put up that show. We sacrifice our biggest assets our health and time, We feel happy when we see people look up to us and see how successful we are”

THanks. That side has taken a couple of decent pothole bumps in the past few months but none in the past couple of months and the noise only became noticeable this weekend.

Took it to a local garage today and had the springs checked. Apparently they are fine and I had a hard time recreating the noise on a test run with the mechanic (although heard a couple of times, it was more of a scratching sound over bumps). I have the noise on dashcam going over several bumps on Sunday so I'm definitely not dreaming it, but if the springs are fine, and the mechanic couldn't find anything else, then I guess that's all I can do for now.

I did come away with 2 new bridgestones though

Thanks for the suggestion. It was on my mind as an option if I couldn't get the car back today but looks like I'm going to just have to hold fire on any work for now as the cause of the noise can't be found.
