Joined Origin Broadband before 12th April 2018? Chance to leave your contract with no penalty

If you joined Origin Broadband for broadband or landline telephone before 12th April 2018, their mobile website failed to display the minimum term of the contract. This information was missing from the entire journey from the homepage to the checkout, including the T&Cs.

The Advertising Standards Authority and Ofcom have ruled that this is material information and must be displayed before consumers can enter into a contract. Because of this, Origin Broadband have already allowed many customers to leave their contract without penalty.

If you want to leave your contract, email complaints@origin-broadband.co.uk explaining the above. If they do not uphold your complaint, refer it to Ombudsman: Communication Services free of charge.

But presumably only if you signed up on the mobile site if the full fat version showed the relevant information?
