Texaco & Sky Card Questions

Got hubby to apply for a Texaco Card, was accepted and had the confirmatory letter today. The only problem is that the credit limit was £2500 which is not alot - but better than a rejection I suppose!

(I guess its partly my fault....I've also got him to clsoe his Capital One, MBNA and Natwest Cards - about £24000 worth of credit available - and didn't wait that magic month!)

Is it worth asking them to increase the limit - what is the likely hood of them agreeing?

Also got hubby to apply for a sky card what seems ages ago....does anyone have a timescale for the acceptance/rejection letter ....at this rate the 0% deal will be over!

Sky card - they seem to phone you at work after about two weeks and then it's another two weeks before the card comes. I have no idea what the procedure is for rejection. I posted a geographic customer services number in an earlier thread - 01293 765470. Not sure whether they deal with applications on that number but it's worth a try.

You can always ask, but it is known fact that cards with low life-of-balance interest rate generally offer lower initial credit limits than other cards. And this is quite understandable...
