Response to BBC Watchdog - Responsible parking management is essential for a better parking experience
http://www.britishparking.co.uk/News/response-to-bbc-watchdog-responsible-parking-management-is-essential-for-a-better-parking-experience-
The BPA has been saying this for ages to no avail so it's no
wonder the MP in the new members bill stated they were
as useless as a multi storey car park in the Gobi desert ??
THEY STILL ARE
"We are not party to the adjudication process which must remain independent, but we do recognise that errors can occur and they can be upsetting for the motorist. Parking operators cannot always know all of the circumstances, and in many cases, parking tickets are cancelled by the operator when they are given additional information."
How many fingers do you have on one hand ???
Come on BPA even when additional information is given, they
still reject as there is no money in it for them to listen
to additional information.
Parking operators cannot always know all of the circumstances
And you think the motorists knows all the circumstances
when they drive into a ANPR car park ??? and later discover
they have been double dipped or the camera mistakes a
0 (ZERO) for an O .... or they have to enter details in a
dodgy machine ????
You already admit that these ANPR cameras are not 100% accurate.
Andrew Pester did you no favours on BBC Watchdog which
was watched by millions
Why would a parking operator expect a motorist to pay
on a flawed system ???
Why would POPLA support the operator on a flawed system ???
If the BPA wants to get out of their current Gobi desert
location, they must become and show they are professional
which at the moment they are not, nor is POPLA

It also says:
"Those managing car parks should make the experience as simple as possible, making clear the terms and conditions for parking."
Which we all know is total cobblers!
So useless BPA when are your claimed audits of site actually going to root out the dodgy signage, and entrapments that still exist on your members car parks.
Who ever does the audits at present (if they are actually done at all) is incompetent.0 -
BPA = Andrew Pester
TSB fiasco - Paul Pester
warning , if they are called PESTER, its a bad sign of things to come
and TROY was a bit of a trojan horse too , so much so its looking like it will be added to a list of offences being considered in a new bill before parliament
so plenty for parliament to chew on0
