I know this case was a while ago but OP did the lawyers take it any further? Our car got a PCN at the start of 2018, we were naive and appealed directly to the issuer (as the signage was almost non existent) without doing any research. The appeal was rejected and we were told to appeal through IAS which we didn't bother to do. We received a couple of emails after that which we fished out of the 'Junk' email inbox too late to respond. Fast forward to last week when we received a 'DO NOT IGNORE - DEMAND BEFORE COURT ACTION' letter with 7 days to pay. I've lost 2 nights sleep over it already and don't know what to do. Is this just another threat or is court likely?
Many thanks for any response or advice0 -
Everyone is asked not to post until after reasing the Newbies FAQ thread near the top of the forum
After getting up to speed on this by studying the FAQ if you have further questions you must then start your own thread and not post anymore in this one0 -
A LBC cannot only give you 7 days, so that's just a debt letter.AreYouSerious wrote: »I know this case was a while ago but OP did the lawyers take it any further? You need to read post #4 of the NEWBIES thread about ignoring debt letters, and then read post #2 of the sticky thread, to be able to recognise a real LBC and what to do when, and learn how we win 99% of defended court claims here, and have done consistently, for two years!
My signature below shows where to click to get to page 1. Read the NEWBIES FAQS.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

The thread starter hasn't been back in over a year. The odds of them replying are rather small.0
