Thanks wh_em!
Today I'm slowly starting up matched betting again. I'd gotten as far as a £250 profit (roughly) before the start of the pandemic, but then took a break (well, so did most of the sports world!). With the return of football matches, I might as well get started again. I forgot how oddly fun it is as well!1 -
@wh_em Exciting times! I hope you get to enjoy it, I honestly find it quite fun.
I've been doing the odd re-load offer here and there, but don't think I'll put too much effort into MB after I'm through all the sign-up offers (currently on the big one - Bet365!). I'm really keen to check out casino offers though, so will most likely move over to Team Casino in a month or so and give that a shot. As part of my MB on Tuesday, I actually got given some free casino money that I turned into £67.50 playing a few rounds of Blackjack, which was great, haha! Casino offers aren't 0 risk, but very low risk over time, and are bit more flexible than Matched Betting from what I understand.0 -
Hi everyone! I hope you are all well and enjoying the nice weather.
It was Mr julicorn's and my wedding anniversary yesterday, and we've been having a lovely weekend. We booked today off work too, to stretch it out a little longerThe sunshine definitely helps, we're having dinner in our little garden most evenings now, which is lovely (aside from Mr julicorn being slightly paranoid about seagulls potentially swooping down and stealing our food - oh the joys of living in Brighton/Hove!).
On a more money-saving-related note, it turns out AMEX are doing their shop small offer again! They usually run these in December, and I get waaayyy to excited about them (I swear people are getting slightly fed up with me at this point!), but they've now get them on as some sort of 'slowly getting out of lockdown' offer from today until mid September. Basically, it means that you get £5 back whenever you spend at least £10 in a small/independent shop, up to 10 times per card. Well, I've got 2 AMEX cards, and Mr julicorn is a supplementary cardholder on both which somehow counts as separate cards, which means £200 cash back if we 'play our cards right' (see what I did there!
). Christmas has come early, I tell 'ya!
Well, I'm going to go sit in the garden for a bit now. Wishing you all the best!1 -

There are lots of restaurants participating too though, so we might be able to treat ourselves occasionally once we're allowed out again.
