The winner and a guest will go on a three-night, self-guided Starry Nights of Provence cycling tour in southern France, starting and ending in St-Remy-de-Provence and taking in the Unesco-listed city of Arles. En route, they’ll stay in characterful three- and four-star hotels on a half-board basis, dine in gastronomic restaurants and cycle at a leisurely pace through the landscapes that inspired van Gogh.
The prize includes return flights to Avignon, Marseilles or Nîmes, rental bikes with panniers, water bottles, repair kits, route maps, assistance where needed and luggage transfers between hotels. It must be taken before October 30, 2018, excluding the periods May 16-June 16 and September 1-18, and is subject to availability. Flights are costed at £250pp return from London airports to Avignon, Marseilles or Nimes. If flight prices exceed this figure on the chosen departure date, the winner must pay a supplement to make up the difference.
