Capital One charges 2000

Hi i have a cap one credit card have had it since 2000 i didnt realise till 2weeks ago i could claim back my charges! Doh anyway i rang them and they sent me the last 7yrs of transactions and charges but the charges are printed at £15 each for an over the limit and late payment but i thought the charges for capital between 2000 onwards was £35 so i'm a bit confused and i shredded all my old statements does anyone have or remember what these charges were back in 2000 thanks very much!

My husband used to have a card with them a long time ago (1997), and the charges then used to be £15. They then went up to £20, not sure when they actually went up tho, but they were never £35.

  • Thanks for that i couldn't remember but my statements do change from £15 up to £20, i must have been wishful thinking! Is it wise to ask for the whole lot or just the difference from the £12 up to the £20 which would be £8?
    Thanks again.

Ask for the lot, but they will probably only offer you the difference. Up to you then as to whether you accept it or take them to court.
