Sorry, but that doesn't make much sense so you may not get any help.

Send your plans to SSE and ask for their comments.

Beware there may be underground cables
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

Anyone with common sense would contact SSE first.

You'll not find many sensible digger drivers willing to risk pulling-out a foundation there without proof that it's safe, or is this DIY?

So you have asked a surveyor yes ?

Should really speak to whoever the substation belongs too.

Another vote for contact the substation owner. They should have plans (may not be accurate) of where all the cables from and to the substation go. You MAY find the land where you want to extend has many cables under it, and the extension is not viable without paying a lot of money to have them moved.

The wall surrounding it is a blast wall, and will probably be on substantial footings. Don't expect to be able to build right up to it or join onto it even if there are no cables stopping your work.

Power substations are exempt from all Planning laws, Building Regulations, Health & Safety rules, and other leglislation.

Anyone can dig up to, and indeed under, a sub station.

The only advice I'd give is to wear rubber boots while driving the digger.
