Faulty Duvet

Hi bit of a long shot but here goes.
Brought a feather duvet from Dunelm about 18 months ago, can't find the receipt.
All the feathers are now at the edge of the duvet with none in the middle, no amount of shaking has helped.
Cost around £90. Would have expected it to last longer.
Have sent Dunelm a nice email asking if they would exchange as an act of goodwill but they have refused as it's out of 1 year guaranty.
Don't know if I have a leg to stand on or a duvet to lie under but thought it would be worth asking..
Thanks for reading

For starters how are you going to prove you bought it from them?0

There is that point..it's one of their own makes..it never crossed my mind to be honest but guess it could have been brought second hand .0

It could have been bought by you from Dunelm 18 months ago or 48 months ago,
It could have been bought from Dunelm by someone else,
It could have been stolen from Dunelm. (I'm not implying that it was, just that without any proof of purchase, there's no way of knowing).0 -
Hi yes I can see where you are coming from...
I just didn't think about it that way just because I am telling the truth it doesn't mean these things don't go on.
Mind you when I had the super king duvet under my coat I did look like that girl who exploded from Willy Wonker..
Thanks for your replies I can see it from a different perspective now..
However if I could find the receipt just out of curiosity how would I stand?0 -
You don't need a receipt, you need proof of purchase.
Bank statement, credit card statement? Unless you paid cash...
