LPS rejection letter

Hi,

I recently received a parking charge for not paying the correct amount for parking. I paid for two hours but due to having a fall I returned 45 minutes late.

I wrote to the company explaining that I am 5 months pregnant and had a fall (sending them proof of pregnancy and a picture of my twisted swollen ankle) and explained that I hadn’t intended on being late back to the car, but for obvious reasons it took me a little longer to walk back.

However they have said that this isn’t a good enough reason and have rejected my appeal.

This doesn’t seem fair. Could anyone shed light on why they can’t accept this? They are requesting £85 for being 45 minutes late.

Thanks
Kelly

In short, they are cowboys and don't care what your reason is (not matter how significant), they just want your money. These companies reject almost all appeals and then harass people in to paying with threats of courts and bailiffs.

Its a totally unregulated industry, you can fight this further, however this needs to be moved to the parking tickets sub-forum where there are many regulars are on hand to help! Good luck.

I hope you are baby are ok now though.

You needed to read the Newbies Sticky in the Parking Tickets Subform before contacting them - Posting about the issue here is futile but you should still go and read it now to learn how to deal with what happens next.
