Can you do a balance transfer from an account in my wifes maiden name before we got m

Hi,

I am thinking of applying for the Barclaycard 14 months 0 APR and wish to transfer my credit card and my now wifes credit card onto this barclaycard if we are accepted.

Question is,

Is it possible to transfer my wifes credit card balance which is still in her maiden name onto the barclay card which will obviously be in my name?!

usually they only ask for the 16 digit number and not the name on the card.

Yes, I've done similar, should be no problem - as Clapton says, they usually only need the card number.

hiya

doing a BT is just paying of the debt using another credit card so in theory you can transfer anyones balance

be careful though- alot of companies dont allow for in- house transfers

this is usually stated on application

sorry- mis read your post, thought u said ur wife card with barclay card too!
