To kick off over two weeks of seriously good music and art, Nordic Voices are offering five pairs of tickets to a choice of any of their paid events that are part of their newest international multi-arts festival in Hexham. The Nordic Voices festival (8th–22nd May 2018) presents a new and vibrant opportunity to celebrate the many things which draw the North East and the Nordic countries together. There will be an exciting, diverse and truly international programme of events over the 15 days.
Performers and artists from Northumberland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark will all converge in Hexham, but the events themselves showcase arts from a whole range of Nordic countries, including the Faroe Isles. Enjoy explosive music from the Methera: Strange Lovers quartet to the sweet symphonies of the Tynedale Community Choir. The programme will open and close with Nordic film at the Forum Cinema and in between, Festival-goers will experience and enjoy international and local music, exciting drama performances, a family storytelling day, talks and traditional Swedish food nights in Hexham Abbey's Refectory.
