Thanks for the reply, I have already appealed to the BPA and they closed the case as they believe that ECP have sent the POPLA code. Do you still recommend I email Steve Clark ? If so what is his email.
    Thanks again

i have also read through the forum looking for what to put in a SAR however i am a little confused what exactly should be included. I have found a template like this? am i wrong in thinking this is whats required.

Your best bet to get a fake PCN cancelled is to complain to the retailer (pub, in this case), but you say you have tried this. Never mind, it's only ECP and I've ignored them twice myself, before POPLA became an option in 2012. Nowt to bother about too much. Not to be paid!

Wait to see what Steve Clark says and what the SAR from ECP shows you.

I don't like that SAR template, it's not suitable for a parking issue where you KNOW they are processing your data and you want to see all letters and data lists and appeal case summaries where your VRN or name/address/other data is stored or was processed for the purposes of PCN xxxxxxx. You can also ask for information about automated decision-making, such as the auto issue of a PCN based on ANPR images and what level of human intervention/checks existed, and proof of the 'signing off' of those checks by a real person, in your case.

should i also mention the fact that their initial PCN had no mention of SAR?

    Yes you can.

Did you see on the pepipoo thread that Steve Clark is investigating? Have you sent him an email, if not do so and include a link to this thread.

i have yes, he replied saying
    Thanks for your email.
I will have a look at this matter with colleagues in the morning.
I know you may have supplied information before, but it would be helpful if you could provide me with the PCN number please.
This has not been an issue on my radar before but now I have had two within 6 hours. I will revert in due course.

what would you add to this? how can i add the issue of not being told about SAR in my PCN

    Thanks again
