Half Term Hertfordshire

I have the week off in May for my kids' half term.

As I took them away at Easter, I want to fill their days with outings out rather than them vegetate on the sofa with Minecraft.

So far we have Gullivers Land in Milton Keynes for one day.

I suggested the beach at Canvey Island, but they didn't like the idea.

I don't mind spending money (although the less, the better), but can't think of what else to do. Trying to avoid London as I work there and we don't really like crowds.

Guess I'm thinking of 2 hours travel max from the South Herts region. So Hertfordshire, Outer London, Bucks, Berkshire etc.

Have you ever been to Legoland in Windsor? That's a good day out

Or The Lookout Discovery centre in Bracknell (Berkshire) isn't expensive

    Not cheap though.

    Could be worth trying this

My kids have been to Legoland, but I never have. Have heard that it gets very busy etc. And we are going to a theme park one of the days.

Will look up the Lookout Discovery Centre, thank you.

Haha, is it? I thought it was okay when we went there last year. Maybe that was because it only took an hour to get to a beach.

I will look up the Railway.

My parents live right by the RAF museum, so girls go there a fair bit. Will see what the other one you suggested is like.

    Thanks everyone.

The only suggestion I have had from my girls is painting pottery, so I have looked up a couple of those places for ideas.
