Hi - my boyfriend and I have just come back from Ireland, they've banned smoking out there in bars and restaurants now which didn't please him too much but he went outside. It was 6 euros something for a packet I think. Dublin is very small, I went there a couple of years ago and the best thing is to wander and see what you stumble across. The food tends to be quite good in Ireland, but not cheap. Dublin has a main shopping area and to be honest I didn't get much further than this. They have most the main European and British chain stores and a few of their owns. Dunnes, their major department store was pretty good.

Loads of good places to eat in the narrow streets and alleys of the Temple Bar area, just south of the river. More international than Irish though!

    Have a great time.......:j

There are some gorgeous gardens to mooch around for free very close to the main shopping area.

Also, you can go for a wander around Trinity College, which was where they filmed "Educating Rita" - apart from that it's lovely.

The Guiness Brewery is supposedly a really good tour. We didn't go to it as we were only there for 24hrs, but everyone else said that it was excellent.

It's also free to get into the National Gallery of Ireland (think that's the name).

It's wonderful in Dublin and I can't wait to go back.
