Upgrade to HSBC Maestro

Hi all Please answer this question.I've banked with the HSBC and I've only got a solo debit card with HSBC. I wanted to upgrade it to the Meastro, but HSBC said I have to have salary come through the account at least 6 month. At the moment, I only earn about 400-500 a month. Does anyone know that will I have a chance to get the Maestro card with chaque garuntee after 6 months if I only have that much salary come to my account?Does anyone have difficult experince to upgrade the Solo to Maestro with HSBC?

Just tell them that you will transfer your account to another bank if they won't give you a proper card. The Solo card is next to useless, so tell them so!:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

^^ What they said? When I wanted one I just asked for it. Most students have Maestro cards and their loan (when I was at Uni) was about £1.5k three times a year!:A0
