Thanks - I appreciate your replies.

They have offered £250 as a goodwill gesture plus an additional 2yrs warranty as the works didn't complete until two yrs after install.

Just feels from all the comments on here this is high risk taking this to the courts system, I could be out of pocket if I lose and have to pay the defendants costs.
