Response from PCN appeal received. Should I hand over driver details?

Using the advice/template in the newbies section, I lodged an appeal (as keeper) to PCN from PPC CP Plus. 20 days later I have a response that states the following:
The representations stated in your correspondence have been noted and considered. Please forward to us the full name and address of the driver at the time this charge was incurred so that we can update our records accordingly.
They have placed the PCN on hold for 14 days until the driver details have been sent over.
My thoughts:
- will denying this request antagonise them and ruin the chance of accepting the appeal
- have they rejected the appeal and now fishing for this information to save them hassle if I appeal through POPLA
My question is how should I respond?
Do I have to give over the driver details or should I hold off and demand a response to the appeal plus a POPLA code.
Any help would be truly appreciated!

No need to respond at all.
Just wait patiently for your PoPLA code.0 -
Seconded, they are desperate because they don't know the driver. Don't blow it now!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Asking for the driver is a scam by scammers
They don't know ..... you will not tell them0 -
Companies who don't comply with POFA generally ask this question. They know challenging POFA compliance at the POPLA stage results in them losing.0

Thank you all for your speedy responses!
I will not share the driver details with them.
My only concern now is that they have yet to confirm whether they have accepted or rejected the appeal - merely the above follow up asking for further information. The remainder of the follow up reads:
We are placing this Notice on hold for 14 days from the date of this email to allow you to provide the details requested.
Once the 14 days are up and I do not respond, will this mean my appeal is automatically rejected?
Will the discounted fine no longer apply?
Is it worth a reply asking them for a decision?
Thank you once again for kindly sharing your knowledge!0 -
You can take it now that it's rejected.
Wait for your code to come as advised0 -

Yes but that's what you want, a POPLA code & rejection letter, so you then win at POPLA on 'no keeper liability'. My goodness how do newbies not see this? CP Plus are a cinch to beat.Once the 14 days are up and I do not respond, will this mean my appeal is automatically rejected?
Who cares?!Will the discounted fine no longer apply?
No.Is it worth a reply asking them for a decision?
Wait for the POPLA code; the key to the winning stage, as keeper. So simple. Non-POFA, you win.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi All - (do let me know if you would like for me to start a new thread.)
Following on from this thread started in April this year, I received no response from CP Plus with regards to a rejection/acceptance of the appeal. I have since assumed the silence means the case has been dropped.
To my surprise, six months later, I have received a letter from the debt collectors demanding I pay an increased parking charge and failure to do so resulting in court action. I have had no opportunity to appeal this PCN with POPLA.
Do you have any suggestions as to the best way to handle this?
Shall I contact CP PLUS? Or the debt collectors directly?
Thank you!0 -
            neither
contact the BPA AOS desk by email (post #5 of the newbies thread) and give them a brief outline and timeline, stating the CCP breach in not offering a popla code with any rejection letter so CPP are in breach of the BPA CoP
attach copies of all paperwork like NTK and appeal and pcn ref and this new debt collector letter
sit back and wait for the backpeddling to start
and read post #4 to see why you IGNORE debt collectors0 -
            YES as Redx says above

CPP are just another member of the BPA who literally takes the p*ss out of the BPA0
