I signed up for this and got a 1 month free trial, got the book through with all the places I could use it in. About 20 places where I live and they are all rubbish!! Really glad I didnt pay for this card!0

Yes!! The only place I would use it has restrictions on when you can go and also its only 25% off the main meal only, not of the full bill. So even with buying some drinks and say 2 £10 meals your only saving £5. Id rather go somewhere local than this place the other side of town as Id be saving the £5 on petrol!
The card makes you think you get 50% off everything or 2 for 1! But sadly thats not what you get0 -
Hello, just renewing my membership in the East Midlands, I 've had this card for about 3 years, my family has been using it for many more, we never usually pay more than £25 - £28 for 12-14 months subscription. Yes, some restaurants do pull out as soon as they are in the book & some register & have to wait 11 months to be in the next directory. Look in the window or on the door of the restaurant & there is usually a gold coloured sticker if they are a member. Its always worth asking if they are a member. We always phone first.
Anyway the promotional codes that I've tried & appear to be working are
Evening Chronicle £27.95
PREMIER £27.95
EXCLUSIVE £39.95
LUM1 £39.95 (I picked this up at a food fair 3 months ago, Nov 09)0 -
Found a nice one which gives 14 months for £25.

I've just signed up to the Gourmet society using one of the discount codes (thank you guys very much!). I bought this card to save money going to one of my local restaurants and once I've gone I will have saved the equivalent money that I spent on the card.
As annoying as it might be to find out that the day you want to go isn't in the offer, or that you only get 25% discount I do have to point out that for alot of people this society allows them to eat out at restaurants that they otherwise would not consider due to cost so to anyone considering this card I say it is worth it, but if you're unsure get the free trail first!!0 -
what does this mean
If appropriate the waiter will delete the restaurant's allocation from your membership card
are you allowed to eat regularly at same place or is it limitd to a certain amount of visits
thanks0 -
At some restaurants you can only use the card once, they usually make an indent on the rear on one of the numbers or just mark their own number with a biro.
Ps, I've just bought two memberships from the BMI link 14months for £25, Thanks.0 -
