Is there an alternative to gourmet society in the west midlands & london, other than tastelondon.
My experience of gourmet society (when I signed up) was not very good either. Their customer service is absolutely awful. The restaurants I was interested in had awful restrictions too (can't do this can't do that blah blah).
I have won a tastelondon card recently, so will see how they are. But they only cover restaurants in London.0 -

I live outside London, and will mostly use it for Prezzo's and Pizza Express. I got a 2-month membership by collecting Telegraph tokens recently. I was very disappointed to see that almost all the restaurants in the book they sent did not include Fridays or Saturdays in the offer. Since I mainly like to eat out on Saturdays it won't help me at all
Very glad I did not pay for the card!

Pizza Express does allow Saturdays but not after 5pm IIRC.0

The nearest restaurant to me only gives 25% reduction with this card. Not 50%.0

Aren't most of the restaurants in the dal already 50% off via toptable or searching other voucher forums on the internet?0

We got a GS card last October as we (wife and I) were going away for a weekend in Glasgow and worked out with the discounted joining fee (about £25 for 15 months I think), we would virtually save that on our first meal out in Glasgow (it was a 2 for 1 on main course and dessert I think). After that we have used it several times in The Living Room, Pizza Express, Loch Fyne (going there tonight) - last visit to Loch Fyne was a family Sunday lunch with about 10 people and they gave the discount for the whole party (website says 4), which saved about £40 I think. Also used it in a few places in London. So all in all I would guess it has saved well over £100 (maybe nearer £200) and still got 3 months left on card. Go for it I would say, some restaurants have told us it's the first time they have seen the card but have been fine about giving discount anyway. The more people use it the more it will be recognised and accepted. There are a fair few independents near me that you cannot get discounts for elsewhere.0
