Hi
Hoping someone can help answer my questions, I made a telephone claim for ESA on 10/4/18 I asked for it to start from when I stopped working (17/2/18) I sent off my medical certificates covering from 7/2/18 to 12/05/18 and received a text on the 23/4/18 from DWP saying:
We've received your Statement of Fitness for Work (Fit Note). This will now be actioned. You don't need to contact us.
I have not received any payment yet and cannot find any sort of guidelines on when I can expect payment does anyone know how long I should leave it before I call them?
Also will my first payment include backdated monies or just be a fortnightly rate and i will have to wait for seperate payment?
Thank you to anyone who can advise

Hi Chelle.
You get nothing for the first 7days of a claim then a fortnightly payment after 3 weeks.
Your first payment should be around the 3rd of may 17th may then the 31st may if my calculations are correct?
Hope this helps?0 -
Hello, I’m in the same position atm! Just wondered what happened next? Did you get paid shortly after?0
