Unwanted Goodwill items left in rented house

We have recently had to move into an unfurnished rental house because of a major leak in our home which has made it uninhabitable. When we moved in we found that the landlord had, without asking us, left a chest freezer and washing machine in the garage as goodwill items. As we wanted to bring over a washing machine and tumble dryer from our home we have asked the landlord via the letting agents to remove these unwanted items but thus far he has refused. As a result we are unable to store my wife's car in the garage as we had intended.

We have unplugged the freezer and moved it and the washing machine so that our items can be correctly 'plumbed in'. When we opened the freezer it had not been cleaned out and so, after a few days, has started smelling / growing mouldy. We desparately want them both gone.

What are my options if this continues to be the case? As they are goodwill items can I get rid of them?

Check they are not listed on inventory.
Give notice that they will be disposed of if not removed.

Can you remove them? No if listed on inventory (or atleast you'll have to bring them back). Yes if not listed, at your cost.

Does LL have to remove them? Yes if he agreed to (and you can prove it). No if He didn't.

If you're in the grey area of items not listed on inventory but no agreement from LL to remove them, then your only option is to live with it / remove at your cost / sell / give away..
