Overseas Order Cancelled

So my OH ordered an item online from a company based in Hong Kong. The deal seemed a bit too good to be true and on checking up it looks as though the company is a bit dodgy. I checked the transaction and discovered that it had been run through against my PayPal account, I guess the password was cached, so reported this to PayPal immediately, before we even received a notification of the order and filed it as an unauthorized transaction.

PayPal was great about this instantly holding the disputed funds and waiting for a response from the supplier. According to PayPal they have received instructions to refund from the company which all seemed good, and I've checked and PayPal has fully refunded me, great.

Today I received an email from the company however saying they have dispatched the order. I've tried contacting them by phone and I'm getting no response. I'm a bit confused now as it seems they have dispatched something they have acknowledged, via PayPal, is cancelled. I've checked their website and they state that 'wrongly delivered' goods will incur restocking charges and I'll have to pay to return the item to them.

This seems to me to be the definition of unsolicited goods but as its from an overseas supplier I really don't know where I stand. Can anyone clarify?

    You might want to read the definition of unsolicited goods again.

    It wasn't unauthorised as you used your own paypal to pay for it, if you are going to report any payments made by your OH through your paypal, I might suggest you are more careful with your password

    It’s not unsolicited goods, and it’s not an unauthorised transaction.
    Why on earth would the password being saved make this unauthorised? You chose to have the password saved on that device.

    If PayPal realise it’s your other half’s account, which should be quite easy if you share an address and surname, you could be in hot water...

    Im not sure what definition you have read of unsolicited goods but it must have been on the back of a beer mat.

    Unsolicited means ;not asked for; did you ask for the item? Yes. It does not mean ;asked for but did my research after and cancelled;

    Id also expect you to lose your PayPal account for abusing their policies.
