Licence surrendered - SORN insurance??
Hi all, my husband has just surrendered his licence due to ill-health, but is hoping to get back to driving in a few months. In the mean-time, we have a virtually new car parked up on our driveway (which we want to keep) and no-one else in the household with a driver's licence.
Is it possible to get theft insurance for a SORN car without a driver's licence does anyone know? We live in a "good" area, but theft is always a concern.
Any advice would be great ...

Try a local insurance broker (not Swintons).0

What you are looking for is "laid up insurance" ....some companies now also call it "SORN insurance"0

Absolutely possible, its quite commonplace in the classic car scene, What you are looking for is "Laid Up Insurance" and covers you for accidental damage, fire and theft, you don't need a license. Lancaster and Peter James are good brokers, avoid Adrian Flux as they're usually expensive. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
