What are these catalogue ads about?

I keep seeing ads saying you can reclaim money if you had a catalogue in the 70s, 80s, 90s or 2000s. I used to buy loads of things from catalogues but there's no explanation in the ads as to why I should be able to get any money back. If I click on the links they ask for my personal details and I don't want to dish these out for free when I don't even know what it's all about.

Standard PPI claim - some catalogues added insurance on to the account. You can do it yourself if you're that bothered about it and if it actually was missold.

There's also some threads on here specifically about catalogue PPI claims if you do a search. This one probably covers the basics.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Thank you. I'm nearly 70 now and can't remember what I had for breakfast so I really don't know if I paid PPI. I'll look at the links though. Thanks once again.Don't mess with pensioners. :cool:0
