Hi
We are travelling to Canada for a driving holiday & want a car.
We are fed up being stung with CDW & extra insurance at the collection point, but want to guarantee we are fully comp insured etc.
What’s the best thing to do?
Thanks in advance
Paula

Purchase an all inclusive rental with zero excess if available from a UK supplier not US or Canadian. I tend to use autoeurope but there are other companies.0

https://www.carhireexcess.co.uk, remembering to tick the option for SUPPLEMENTAL LIABILITY INSURANCE They offer daily and annual.
http://www.insurance4carhire.com/usa-canada-car-hire-excess-insurance Annual policy only. Well established. Check Quidco for substantial cashback.
https://www.bettersafe.com/Products/Car-Hire-Excess-Insurance-Protection i.e Daily Worldwide (inc. CDW & SLI) & Annual Worldwide (inc. CDW & SLI)
Only these three offer CDW, CDW excess and supplementary liability insurance in a single policy. The best you can get. You may not need it all, but if you want to be sure.0 -
What was wrong with the dedicated car hire subform here..?0

Watch out with some of these so called "zero excess" car hires. You sometimes find that half the car is excluded from the insurance, eg glass, underside, roof, tyres, interior etc.0

For driving holiday I suggest renting a car in iversta.com. This is not spam, but rent agency that has no extra insurance and other hidden surprises0
