Buyer on amazon won’t return item

Hi there. I sold a laptop at the end of last year on amazon, the buyer, through amazon, told me the laptop arrived broken and they requested a refund. I gave them a refund but the laptop hasn’t been returned to me. It has been almost six months now and amazon have simply stopped replying to my emails. Does any one have any idea what I can do? Any help would be much appreciated. I just don’t see how I can sell an item, issue a refund, and amazon don’t care if the item is never returned?

    Exactly, the buyer currently has no incentive to do the return. After this length of time I doubt if they will do it voluntarily so you need to incentivize them again by threatening legal action, and actually taking it if the threat alone doesn't work.

    I doubt the OP will be back, but on the basis they do then the question is what arrangements had they made to get the item back?

    It isn't as simple as just getting the buyer to send it back, as it was broken the onus is on the seller to arrange for return, usually on Amazon this can take the form of issuing a returns pre paid label or authorising Amazon to do so. If refund was made with no requirement to return then I can't see even legal action working.
