Saggy lintel

I am stripping a room ready for boarding and plastering. The lintel above a window is now exposed. It is wooden and sagging. I put a spirit level below it is definitely lower in the middle by a small amount. Should I be worried and does this need replacing?

How old is the house?
How do you know that the lintel didn't dip in the middle from the day it was fitted?0 -
