HD channels issue

What do you want to report, Top Gear being shittified? If so, we already know that, it's not news to anyone!
As much as I want to argue right now, I have decided to take things into my own hands and agree with this. I have absolutely no proof. Well, no more proof than the police have of my piracy anyway. So I will call things even stevens and leave it there.
What REALLY grips my shlot is TV adverts. This I get around by watching things on catchup, or pre-recording stuff and fast-forwarding them. I was just shocked by how crap some channels have become when they have HD versions.
I have to admit I am complaining about how polished a turd is with regards to my complaint about anything related to TV programs.
Anyway there is something I am actually not moany about. Both of those things are the Voyager program and the Cassini Huygens mission. None of those have any benefit on the British weather or Donald Trumps mindest tho, which !!!!es me off. Im fed fed effin right up. Sorry if I sound like Im trolling but Im just a bit drunk, and a bit fed up.Sometimes my advice may not be great, but I'm not perfect and I do try my best. Please take this into account.0 -
Ah, Dave is FTV now. In that case, I doubt there's anyone to report the quality of the picture to other that UKTV.
Actually Dave SD went FTA in July 2017.
OP Dave HD is available as as subscription channels on Sky.
TopGear is available (when broadcast) on BBC 1 HD and is also FTA.0 -
Tyrelever you are right above the picture quality of SD channels on freeview. There are now too many channels squeezed into a limited spectrum so as a result you are seeing DVBT compression artifacts as a result of too low bitrates. The quality has suffered. If they did away with all the +1 channels that would improve the situation and they could up the bitrates somewhat. As people have PVRs I don't think the +1 channels are needed anymore
The HD channels look much better as this is DVBT2, better codecs and bitrates. They still don't look as good as they could do. You could complain to freeview UK or Ofcom but good luck with that.
If you want decent picture quality you'll have to stream online or play DVDs or Blurays.
If you are watching HD on Satellite via a SKY box then the picture is only 1080i, bitrates I don't know, complain to Sky, Astra and Ofcom.0
