MBNA/Virgin Balance Transfers - without handling fee's?

in Credit cards
I have both an MBNA Card and a Virgin Credit Card and on opening my email inbox this morning was informed that I could apparently make a balance transfer today to my card and that it wouldn't be subject to the usual 3% handling fee.
I have since been on both website's for confirmation and it is genuine - seems like the only condition is that you have to make it before midnight today and do so using their online banking facility, rather than by telephone.
Looks like a pretty decent offer to me...

Only worth it if the interest being charged is nil. Stick the £5k or so into a 6% internet ac, and its a net gain of 250 quid over a year. Free money.
Even with a 3% handling fee, £150 turns into £250 = £100 for free. I see too that theres a freebie thrown in with their BMI Classic card offer, and thats a free return flight to Europe. Anyone know if you have to spend a certain amount first using the card, or you just get given a code/voucher when you get the card?0 -
I have today spoken to MBNA and asked them close my credit card account under the MBNA name and transfer the credit limit to my Sony card which you know is administered by this company. They did it straight away and now have £3,000 to transfer at zero percent until 1 July 2008.0
