Poor score but perfect record

Hi have just looked at my credit score because I tried to get a loan from my bank and was offered a terrible interest rate. My record is perfect. No ccj''s , no missed payments and always with 4 or 5 thousand in the bank. I earn 45k per year so I'd hoped all would be OK. The only think my report does show is a link to my wife who left me 2 years plus ago. I know she has got herself in lots of money problems but they are all in her name. Can this effect my record due to the old connection ? How do I fix this ? Thanks.

The financial association could be dragging you down. If you no longer have joint financial products, then file a notice of disassociation.
But you also don't mention any positive credit history - do you have cards etc? What do your three files show (not the made up scores)?
You may also just not be your bank's target market.0 -
Thanks... how do I do this ?0
