    Repeat:

The BPA CEO said on National TV: 'ANPR IS NOT 100% ACCURATE' and he expected a consumer to have to prove the error that the operator's own system made. Oh give over!

Also Steve Clark has said in an email Umkomaas showed us a while back, that the BPA does NOT 'audit' the workings or accuracy of ANPR systems, even though POPLA keeps saying they do.

And, no parking firms get this right:

    https://ico.org.uk/media/for-organisations/documents/1542/cctv-code-of-practice.pdf

Why are local authorities banned from using ANPR in car parks, yet private scumbags are using it with no independent audits whatsoever, no proof of its reliability, and known faults such as the well-known 0 or O (or 1 or I) misread, and the 'first in last out' image default that the BPA also admitted to, which works against the interests of consumers, and is therefore unlawful:

    http://www.britishparking.co.uk/Other-Advice#4
''Repeat users of a car park inside a 24 hour period sometimes find that their first entry is paired with their last exit, resulting in an 'overstay'. Operators are becoming aware of this and should now be checking all ANPR transactions to ensure that this does not occur.''

THAT IS NOT OK. Never has been, but under GDPR these firms are on borrowed time.

High time ANPR was banned in ALL car parks.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

A key question that Geordie Steph failed to hit him with during an infantile, lightweight interview that let him off the hook so many times. It was no more exacting than a chat with a group of WI jam makers.

Next time they should throw him to a brought-out-of-retirement Paxman - that would give real pain!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Makes you wonder why Alex Shipp was cut because
that would have shown the truth

I still think that all ANPR produced charges must be queried
    at time of an appeal.
Proof is required that ANPR is 100% accurate

Not a good day PoPLA. If there is insufficient evidence then the benefit of the doubt should be given to the motorist.
