Item arrived damaged, they offered me a voucher but then put the price up

Hi everyone, I ordered an item online and it arrived damaged. I contacted support and they offered me a voucher to the exact same amount. I accepted the voucher as I was going on holiday the following day and wouldn't be in to accept a replacement. When i returned from my holiday i went to re-order the product and saw they had put the price up! so now my voucher doesn't cover the amount anymore. What are my rights here? I accepted the voucher under the notion that i'd be able to get a replacement product without spending more money?

Misleading title. They put the price up a week/2 weeks after your voucher.
Companies can raise the price. You could ask them for goodwill butyou dont have any 'legal rights' to more.0 -

I can't be sure when they put the price up, it could've been the next day for all I know? Does the timing make any difference? If i were trying to re-order within 6 months then I could accept this but within 2 weeks? I'd like to know the legality of this?0 -
I'd like to know the legality of this?
When they offered you the voucher, you could have refused this and insisted on a refund and if they had refused then they would have been acting illegally (provided that it was a company who fell under UK consumer legislation).
Companies are free to choose when and if they adjust their prices and it was just bad luck that this happened before you could reorder the item.
Contact them and explain what happened and ask if they will let you buy at the original price and if not, would they accept the voucher back and issue you a refund.0 -

I'm afraid this begs the question: why did you accept the offer of a voucher rather than a refund?
You bought online and it arrived damaged, so you legally had the right to insist on a refund or a replacement.
I could be wrong, but I think by accepting the voucher, the trader has fulfilled your wishes in respect to the damaged item. With regards to putting their price up, they're allowed to do that. In that same way that, had the price decreased, they couldn't insist you pay the higher price.0
