I am trying to sign out of Amazon. On "My Account", at the bottom of the drop down box is "log out" which I do. I then am presented with the sign in box with my details in top line, I click next and my password is presented in dots................i click on next and I'm in. That's because ages ago, I agreed to remember details. Clearly this is not a good thing because if I sold the device etc. So how can this remember details be reverted please?.

What browser are you using?
It's your browser that auto-filling the username and password box.
In Firefox :
(It will be roughly the same in other browsers. I only have access to Firefox at the moment!)
Go to "Edit"
Then select "Preferences"
Then select "Privacy & Security"
Look for a button saying "Saved Logins..."
Click it and search for "amazon.co.uk"
You can then click on the item to highlight it then delete it
Now the next time you visit amazon you will have to fill in your username and password again (it will then give you the option again to save it or not)Laters

Im using chrome, w10 on laptop. I do have an ipad (safari and chrome) and samsung phone (android) but prefer to use laptop.
I have edge and IE on laptop, but they wont let me in (good) so we know its down to chrome autofill.
Via on laptop via settings, I've turned autofill OFF, but still may password features in dots and allows me in. Will try vial ipad. No, its ok using safari or chrome on ipad. So we've narrowed it down to chrome on laptop.
RESULT and success for an old man.
Read up and three dots at top rt.
settings> advanced> password & forms>autofill, removed from amazon.
Back to amazon and cleared. whoopie. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
