Credit score improvement...

Looking at ways to improve my credit score and cut monthly outgoings as quickly as possibly and willing to try anything. I was look at getting rid of my phone contract and going sim only as it would save potentially £40-£50 PM. I’ll also be paying for my van insurance out right because this can save money over the year.
1. Will not having a pay monthly phone bill hurt how quickly I improve my score.
2. Will paying outright for the van insurance instead of monthly hurt the improvement of my credit score.
For these two I’m working on the assumption it’s like a credit card. Constantly make payments on time and your score improves, and if you don’t make payments it can go the other way?
3. We currently live in a property of somebody we know but cannot get onto the electoral roll. This will effect the score, do I need to have all my address’ of correspondence eg. Bank letters and phones bills going to the same address where I’m registered to elect?
4. On top of making payments on time and the electoral roll I’ve signed up to Experian to get the alert to which I need to improve on certain things. Is there anything to help improve the score which isn’t on Experian or common knowledge?
Sorry for the essay!!
Any help appreciated!!
Thankyou!!

The main thing to understand is that you don't have a credit score. They"re fictional numbers.
What you have is credit history.
Get a credit card, use regularly and clear in full each month. Pay all your bills on time and get in the ER.
And above all, never ever take action based on your scores.0 -
Get in the ER?
Thanks for your help, appreciate the advise!0 -
Also cancel your Experian subscription.
There’s plenty of free ways to view your credit report and history - not score0 -
Forget about improving the score. Instead concentrate on what, if anything, is actually wrong with your credit files. Presumably Experian have shown a list of positive and negative factors applicable to you. What are the negative factors? If we knew what they were we could make suggestions as to how to address them.
As for the reduction in outgoings. If your phone is out of the contract period and therefore paid for, then it would be common sense to stop paying the £60? a month that you appear to be currently paying and go SIM only as you suggest. If the phone is still within the contract period, then you can't cancel it and if you just stop paying you will do considerable damage to your credit files.
Your biggest problem in obtaining credit will always be not being on the electoral roll. Yes you should be consistent and use one single address for all credit agreements.0
