British Gas Electricity pre payment meter

Hi
I was wondering if anyone out there could help me. I have been trying to find out what the standing charge is for British Gas electricity prepayment meters.
When I first had the meter installed and up until Jan07 I am sure that the standing charge was 39p per week.
I have recently had some problems with the meter in that they had taken the economy 7 off the meter. When I discovered this I noticed the standing charge was £3.34per week.
After I contacted them and got the economy 7 switched back on the standing charge has gone up again to £3.46 per week.
I wondered if anyone could either let me know what it should be point me in the right direction of a website with this information on or let me know what their standing charge is so that I have this knowlege when I contact them next.
When I ask them they always avoid the question and advise that they will have to get back to me and when they do call back they still do not have the answer they can't even tell me what the current rates are.
Cheers

That sounds way too high for the weekly charge, unless the meter is trying to recover a balance as well.
The charge depends on where you live, but the highest is £1.18 a week for the MANWEB area on E7.
If you want, put the details from the meter up here and I should be able to work it out. Screens F, K I, S, T (you'll need the key for S&T)0 -
It tells you the weekly rental charge on the meter, you need to cycle the read-out using the button to get to where it says eg £0.74/wk.
This gives you the weekly rental for the meter but not the standing charge for the privilage of using the electricity, for this you need to contact your supplier again and insist that they send you a statement of current charges and tariffs.0
