Cleaning garden furniture covers - mould & filth

My garden chair covers have got covered in mould (left outside) and filth.
What’s the best thing to clean them with?

The usual material that garden covers are made of. It’s kinda stiff & water resistant. That stuff.

I don’t really want to use beach, I’ll ruin my clothes, they are filthy & need vigorous scrubbing.

I’m happy to buy a product - if there is one.

If you don't want to ruin your clothes then I recommend soap and elbow grease.
