DRO Question

My finances are in a mess and after some research I have decided that a DRO is my best route of action.
My wife is currently on a two and a half year visa. In about a year or so we have to apply for another 2 and a half year extension. After this period has elapsed she can apply for British Citizenship.
As part of the visa process we have to prove we earn a minimum of £20k per annum. She alone earns slightly over that.
So my question is, does anyone know, for definite, if I'm successful with the DRO application, will it have a damaging effect on our visa application?
I'm pretty sure for bankruptcy is does, but not sure about DRO.
Thanks.

Hi,
To successfully obtain a debt relief order, you must meet the £50 per month surplus income rule, i suspect if your on 20k a year, you will not be able to do that.
Although DRO`s are unique to the individual, so it would go on your income/expenditure alone.

That's an immigration question, so I'm not sure either.
Both DRO and bankruptcy are forms of insolvency so the answer may well be yes.
I'd try here for advice
